Do Jang (Studio) Rules

Show respect by bowing to instructors and Black Belts.

Always address teachers using their titles (Sah Bum Nim, Ma'am, Sir).

Salute the flags and bow to the Sah Bum Nim/Class Instructor upon entering the training area.

Remove shoes before entering the training area. Students with verrucas must clean indoor plimsolls, trainers, or martial arts shoes (socks are not allowed).

Student mobile phones should be set to silent and placed on the instructor's table for safeguarding.

Parent mobile phones also be kept silent and stored in a bag during the lesson for safeguarding purposes.

Eating or drinking is not allowed the training area, except for water or, with permission, an after-school snack.

Students should maintain a clean and presentable uniform with the correct badges sewn on, and trouser hems and sleeve cuffs adjusted. Students are not allowed to have trouser hem turn-ups. Students without the required or approved training attire or a dirty/smelly uniform will not be allowed to participate in the lesson.

Thoroughly wash your hands before entering the class.

Keep bags organized and tidy throughout the building—do not obstruct any fire prevention areas or exits.

Do not talk while walking through the training hall if a class is in session, and refrain from talking in the corridor during class line-up.

Hats and hoods should not be worn in the training area, hands must not be in pockets, and chewing gum is not permitted.

Late students may enter the training hall and, when ready, wait at the side until the class instructor gives permission to join the class.

Any person who is not an active student must not go beyond the viewing area of the training hall.

Parents watching a class should refrain from talking loudly and should not address any student who is in the class.

DBS-confirmed parents will be given a red wrist band to wear, indicating to others that they allowed to move freely and use their Mobile Phones.
